Dr. Tepper has been a leader in the field of sexual health and in the field of disabilities for over 20 years.  He has served as President of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association Connecticut Chapter,  President Of the Sexuality Information and Education Council Of Connecticut, and 1st Vice President Of the National Spinal Cord Injury Association.  He also has held leadership positions on the boards of a number of national organizations including the American Association Of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists; the  Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States; the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health; the National Advisory Council on Sexual Health, and; the Institute for the Study of Disadvantage and Disability. Based on his standing, Dr. Tepper was nominated to serve as a Peer Reviewer for United States Department of Education; a Peer Reviewer for the Paralyzed Veterans of America Spinal Cord Injury Education and Training Foundation; a Development Panel member for Sexuality and Reproductive Health, Clinical Practice Guidelines Paralyzed Veterans of America Consortium for Spinal Cord Medicine, and; a Participant in the PAHO Technical Consultation on Sexual and Reproductive Health and HIV Prevention.
